Sorry about the non-edition today.  I *was* going to do an abbreviated "mini-edition" today, but decided I'd rather cancel it entirely than do a half-azzed job(and a LATE one at that).  I'd rather get a fresh start tomorrow and serve up an edition my readers deserve and have come to expect.  Again, I apologize for dissapointing my readers,
but promise to serve up a full tepid bowl, overflowing with gloom and doom, seasoned with a dash of hope, a pinch of pathos, and maybe just a few photons of
sunlight penetrating the seemingly-perpetual economic overcast that has enveloped the globe;-)

Over the weekend I worked a 2-day gig doing rush deliveries for Edible Arrangements.  Yesterday(Sunday) in particular, was insanely-busy and absolutely non-stop!  I got quite a workout, but not having worked for the past half year, I "felt" it more than I normally would have.

Some of these fruit baskets are *heavy*, and one I had was particularly huge and easily weighed 75+ lbs!  That's a LOT of fruit in one arrangement!   I feel like I got run over by a truck!;-p

That's what happens when you allow yourself (as I did) to slip into an increasingly nocturnal, 100% sedentary lifestyle - and then, when an opportunity arises, suddenly have to give 110% during the daylight hours during which your body-clock has become accustomed to sleeping.  I rose to and met the challenge, but boy I now have muscles aching where I didn't remember even HAVING muscles, LOL!  I have a new-found respect for all the UPS, Fedex, ect drivers and others doing similar work that most of us take for granted.

It was great though - finally *working* for the first time in 6 months of dismal
unemployment, even if only for the 2 day duration this gig was expected to last, but alas, the gig is now over and I'm once again in "search-mode" so it looks like things will be back to "normal"(unfortunately, for me) here at Recession-News after today.

I DO fully intend to keep growing and adding to this site, and once I finally find a
local "get by" job I can live with (one with regular hours), I anticipate it will be even easier for me to update the site on a consistant and regular basis,...perhaps even more so than before, because I would finally have an actual schedule I'd need to adhere to, instead of the "whenever I wake up"(or "come to", as the case may be;)
haphazard "schedule" that has ruled here since the site's inception in Feb 09.
